Shared Reading is going digital!

By - 12 March 2025 - 09:42am

Join us for free, accessible Shared Reading sessions, all from your own home.

The Shared Reading team have been working hard to develop an online version of their in-person sessions. We understand that in-person sessions are not accessible to everyone, and we don't want anyone to feel left out. If you're interested in attending an online Shared Reading session, please contact us by emailing shared.reading@derbybookfestival.co.uk. We'll add you to the waitlist and let you know as soon as the group launches.

Our Shared Reading groups are here to bring people together, ease feelings of isolation, and support well-being through the joy of literature and words.

These welcoming sessions offer a warm, friendly environment where everyone is invited to join the conversation - or simply sit back and listen.

Our free groups meet regularly to explore various kinds of writing - stories, poems, letters, quotations, lyrics, and more. Whether you'd like to read aloud or just listen, you're always welcome.

For more information about Shared Reading, including upcoming in-person groups (no need to book, you can just drop in!) please take a look here.

Sign up to our brand new Shared Reading Newsletter to be the first to hear about news and opportunities from the Shared Reading team.
