In 1924, the famous theatrical adaptation of Dracula had its world premiere in Derby. This Dracula was different from the monster of Bram Stoker's novel. This talk explains how the charming 'Derby Dracula' found its way to Hollywood and then conquered the world. It considers how Derby might champion its role in the Dracula story and describes some of the celebratory events and workshops being held throughout the centenary year.
