A Garment for the Moon is Anglo-Dutch storyteller Shonaleigh’s first-ever written collection, featuring 18 of her favourite stories from her family's long tradition, which she learned in childhood from her grandmother.
These are fabulous wonder tales with names like The Clever Girl, Avram and the Fireflies, The Cloud Sheep, The Worms’; Complaint, The Dandelion Dancer, Prince Cockerel and Ashmedai’s Melting Bride. Twelve of these are beautifully illustrated by artist Katherine Soutar and edited by Tom Muir and Simon Heywood. They are the first fruits of a long collaboration telling, teaching, touring and documenting the family tradition.
