We are currently planning a hybrid Festival with a mix of live, live streamed, recorded and virtual events from 27 May – 5 June 2021. If the government’s Roadmap goes to plan and the four conditions are met, our venues will start to reopen from 17 May and we plan to host live Festival events.

Fairy Tale Puppet Show with AVP Theatre

For ages 4 - 7 and their parents

Join us for a delightful retelling of some traditional and some original fairy and folktales. All told by Amy and a cast of wonderful puppets! Come along and find out if the Dragon Prince will ever be happy and see if Hansel and Gretel can find their way out of the woods!

There’s an interactive story to end and the opportunity to come and meet some of the puppets!

There are two sessions on each day at all five parks. The times are:

Darley Park - Saturday 29 May in the Wildlife Garden:

1) 11.00 – 11.45am

2) 12.15 – 13.00pm

The Arboretum - Monday 31 May in the Wildlife Area

1) 11.30am – 12.15

2) 1.15 – 2.00pm

Markeaton Park - Tuesday 1 June in the Capability Garden

1) 11.00 – 11.45am

2) 12.15 – 13.00pm

Sinfin Moor Park - Wednesday 2 June in the garden by the Community building

1) 11.30am – 12.15

2) 1.15 – 2.00pm

Alvaston Park - Thursday 3 June in the Community building courtyard

1) 11.00 – 11.45am

2) 12.15 – 13.00pm

Each show lasts 45 minutes. You must book in advance and parents/carers will be required to supervise their children in the session.

Parents and children will sit on the grass in front of the show in socially distanced bubbles. Please bring folding chairs, blankets or mats to sit on.

Please complete a seperate order for each bubble/ household so that we can seat you appropriately.
