We are currently planning a hybrid Festival with a mix of live, live streamed, recorded and virtual events from 27 May – 5 June 2021. If the government’s Roadmap goes to plan and the four conditions are met, our venues will start to reopen from 17 May and we plan to host live Festival events.

Jane Porter

Collage Workshop with author & illustrator, Jane Porter: Tiny Penguins and the New Baby

Saturday 05 June

Venue:

Sponsored by Smith Partnership

For ages 3 - 8

Jane will be running three fun storytime and collage workshop sessions featuring two of her latest books: The Boy Who Loved Everyone (at 10.30am & 4.30pm) and Tiny Penguins and the New Baby (at 2pm).

Have you ever wondered who does the odd jobs in every home? It’s the tiny penguins!

Find out how they helped little Gertie when she was feeling sad. Jane will read the story of Tiny Penguins and the New Baby in a storytime session, then create your own tiny penguins picture using collage – and make your own tiny penguin finger puppets to take home!

Please note: The one-hour family group sessions will be available for family ‘bubbles’ of between 2 to 6 people from no more than 2 households (children and parents/carers).

The ticket price depends on the size of table you require:

2 people £10

3 people £15

4 people £20

5 people £25

6 people £30

For each session, there is a limited number of each table size. If the table size you want has sold out, you will need to buy a larger table or try a different session or we can add you to a waiting list and get back to you once we know how close to capacity we are.

You must book in advance on a first come, first served basis and parents/carers will be required to supervise their children in the session.

All workshops will be set up at Covid-safe, socially distanced tables. Collage materials will be supplied in sealed envelopes for each child. Hand sanitiser will be provided at the entrance to the venue.

Adults must wear masks when moving around the building, but once you are seated at your table, you can remove your mask. Children under 11 years do not need to wear masks.

Jane Porter will wear a face shield throughout the workshop.
