We’re delighted to bring you a special pre-Festival event on 29 January!
To celebrate the publication of Three Things About Elsie, the second book by Joanna Cannon, one of the Festival’s favourite authors, we’ll be holding an evening with Joanna herself.
Joanna’s debut novel, The Trouble with Goats and Sheep, was the bestselling debut in paperback in 2017. Her second novel Three Things About Elsie (published on 11 January 2018) tells the story of lifelong friends Florence and Elsie and explores memory, old age, and the echo we leave in the world.
Join Joanna as she talks to Marsha O’Sullivan, who works in BBC Local Radio and is a Trustee at QUAD. At our last two Festivals her lively interviews with Joanna have been a great success.
The event, held in partnership with QUAD and Waterstones Derby, will take place at QUAD. Starting at 6.30pm, the running time is approximately one hour, including the opportunity to ask your own questions. The event will also be followed by a book signing.
Tickets cost £5 and are available online from the Festival website or the box office at QUAD.
