At tonight’s Derby Reads, sponsored by East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire), we will not only be announcing the full line up of events for 2016, but are also launching our Crowdfunding campaign for 2016. We do hope you will support us.
We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from so many people and organisations who have donated their time and expertise for free. As you can imagine there are significant costs in organising and promoting the Festival. Some of the events are self-financing, but others aren’t! We have been successful in securing funding and raising sponsorship, but a number of people have also asked how they can make a contribution and we hope Crowdfunding provides that opportunity. Pledges are also linked to rewards and there are a range of these.
Our target is £1000 and the campaign starts on 5 April and closes on 27 May. You can donate anything from £1 to £100.
For donations of £25 or more, you will receive one or more rewards and be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning some great prizes, as well as supporting a great local charity:
- Waterstones book tokens worth £100
- One night B&B at the beautiful boutique Cathedral Quarter Hotel
- Iberico world tapas for two (2015 Michelin Guide ‘Bib Gourmand’)
- One year’s free membership to QUAD, Derby’s wonderful arts centre.
Pledge £1.00 or more
