- 75% are aged 50+
- 75% are female, 20% male and 5% identified as non-binary or preferred not to say
- 38% attended 4 or more events
- 38% had never attended Derby Book Festival before
- 97% said they would attend the Festival again.
Tickets are selling fast for our special, off-programme event with Paddy Ashdown on Tuesday 23 October in QUAD. Paddy will be talking about his new book Nein! Standing up to Hitler, 1935–1944. Tickets cost £7 each and you can book them at QUAD. The event will be followed by a book sale, organised by our partners Waterstones, and a signing.
Listen again …
In our last issue we mentioned the film you could view online of our Opening Event with Ken Clarke and Alan Johnson this year. QUAD also recorded several of this year’s events as audio files.
As it’s the political parties’ Conference season, we thought the timing was right to share the Sarah Churchwell event – Behold America, which you can also now listen to using the audio link we’ve now posted online.
We’ll be releasing more files in the coming weeks so you can relive (or catch up with) some of this year’s highlights.
